Momentum Youth Boys Dance Company have been invited to work with the STRIKE BOYS and professional choreographer, Nathan (Flo) Gordon in a two-day intensive workshop.
The Urdang Academy is a conservatoire of dance and musical theatre offering vocational training in the heart of London. Urdang educate and train young creatives to become strong, disciplined and confident performers. Urdang have an in-house all male dance company known as the STRIKE BOYS (Urdang students aged over 19, who have established a national reputation).
The boys will develop a new performance piece, which can be adapted and added to their repertoire for future touring. Collaboration with the STRIKE BOYS will expose Momentum Youth Boys Dance Company to new techniques and ways of working. It will also provide them with an insight into higher education making them more confident about their own future transition from further to higher education.
This project was made possible through funding from the Helen Hamlyn Foundation.
