Recognised as one of the UK’s top youth performance companies, Momentum has become a tour de force in dance, drama, musical theatre and digital media. In our 22-year history we have presented memorable performances at Move It, U.Dance, National Theatre Connections and Edinburgh Fringe Festival amongst countless others.

Momentum Dance

Established in 1998, Momentum Dance is one of the longest running youth dance companies in the UK. Its members, all aged 16-19, are accomplished performers and choreographers with specialisms ranging from ballet, urban and jazz to breakdancing, hip-hop and street.

Momentum Theatre

Incorporating stage and screen acting, as well as directing, devising, improvisation and scriptwriting, Momentum Theatre is home to some of the North’s most promising young talents. Current members have starred in BBC and ITV dramas, had national and international film debuts and perform in professional stage productions throughout the country.

Momentum Voice

Momentum Voice provides unique opportunities for talented young people to perform in some of the UK’s most cherished venues and alongside some of the country’s most celebrated performers. In recent years, Momentum Voice have appeared alongside Britain’s Got Talent winners Collabro and West End superstar Kelly Ellis, performed annually at Move It at ExCeL London and been regular guests on BBC Radio.

Momentum Digital

Momentum is one of the UK’s leading youth theatre, film and media production companies. Specialists in all aspects of production and creative media, Momentum Digital have designed lighting, sound, set, costume, AV, animation and video production for professional shows across the country.
